YULETIDE: ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH, DISTRIBUTES CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO CONSTITUENTS

Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane C. Eneh, Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, carried out her annual “Door-to-Door: Thank You” Christmas Tour across communities in the constituency.

The yuletide outreach, organized annually since Mrs Eneh assumed office in 2019, is designed to appreciate constituents for their continued support while sharing the joy of Christmas with people at the grassroots.

During the tour, Mrs Eneh gave out free fuel support to commercial motorcycle (okada) riders, weavons for Christmas hair-do to women, and also paid hairstylists to beautify them for the festive season.

In addition, bags of rice were given to women and key stakeholders to support household preparations for the yuletide celebration.

In her message to constituents during the outreach, Mrs Eneh described the initiative as a gesture of gratitude and solidarity with the people. She noted that leadership must remain connected to the daily realities of the people, especially during seasons of celebration and reflection.

The "Door-to-Door Christmas Tour" has, over the years, become a symbol of inclusive, people-oriented representation, reinforcing Mrs Eneh’s commitment to compassionate representation and sustained community engagement.

Across the constituency, beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the annual outreach, describing it as timely and impactful in easing the cost of Christmas preparations.

In the spirit of the yuletide celebration, the initiative once again underscores Mrs Eneh’s belief that representation is not only about legislation but also about presence, empathy, and shared joy with the people—especially at the grassroots.
