The Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane C. Mrs Eneh spoke after the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-East Stakeholders’ Meeting held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Presidential Hotel, Enugu, where South-East governors, serving political and party leaders, as well as stakeholders unanimously endorsed President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Describing the gathering as historic, Mrs Eneh noted that the endorsement reflects a growing consensus within the region on the need for strategic political alignment aimed at accelerating development and deepening the South-East’s integration into national governance.

She urged constituents in particular and Ndi Enugu in general to actively participate in the newly flagged-off APC E-registration membership exercise in the state by Gov. Mbah, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, describing it as a critical step towards strengthening grassroots participation and political inclusion.

Mrs Eneh also encouraged eligible citizens to ensure their voter registration is up to date ahead of the 2027 general election, stressing that active civic participation remains essential to sustaining democratic gains and development outcomes.

According to her, the endorsement of President Tinubu, alongside continued support for Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s leadership in the state, signals a shared vision anchored on stability, reform, and long-term progress.

She reaffirmed her commitment to mobilizing and sensitizing people on constructive political engagement, adding that unity, strategic thinking, and participation are key to securing a prosperous future for Enugu State and the South-East region.
