INT'L WOMEN’S DAY 2026: ENUGU DEPUTY LEADER, ENEH CELEBRATES THE STRENGTH, IMPACT OF WOMEN

As the world marks International Women's Day 2026, with the theme "Give To Gain," the Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs Jane Eneh has extended warm greetings to women across her constituency and Enugu State in general, celebrating their resilience, impact, and invaluable contributions to society.
In her message to constituents, Mrs. Eneh described the annual commemoration as a powerful reminder of the role women continue to play in shaping families, communities, and the broader society. She noted that women remain central to progress in education, business, governance, and community development.
“International Women’s Day is a moment to celebrate the courage, determination, and achievements of women across the globe. We're proud of our mothers, daughters, and sisters who have continued to inspire hope and drive positive change in our communities,” she said.
Mrs. Eneh encouraged women and girls to continue pursuing academic excellence while supporting one another in building a stronger and more inclusive society. She also called for sustained efforts towards empowering women through education, economic opportunities, and participation in leadership and decision-making.
Reaffirming her commitment to initiatives that promote the welfare and advancement of women, Mrs. Eneh wished all women a fulfilling and inspiring International Women’s Day celebration.
“May this day remind us of the power of unity, resilience, and shared progress,” she added.
