The political landscape of Enugu West surged high with jubilation on Saturday, April 18, 2026, as thousands of stakeholders, party leaders, and jubilant supporters converged at Awgu Local Government Secretariat field. The occasion was a massive Mega Rally to endorse the continuity of the current administration under Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 general elections.

​At the forefront of this monumental display of grassroots support was the Deputy Leader of the Enugu State House of Assembly and Member Representing Awgu North Constituency, with other leaders and stakeholders from Enugu West Senatorial Zone, leading vibrant supporters from their constituencies and communities to the event. 




Mrs. Eneh joined Enugu West leaders and stakeholders to affirm that the path to a greater Enugu State lies in sustaining the momentum of the current leadership. The rally, which brought together leaders and stakeholders from the five Local Government Areas in Enugu West Senatorial Zone; Aninri, Awgu, Oji-River, Ezeagu, and Ud, was more than a political gathering; it was a testament to the tangible results felt across the zone.

​The crowd’s enthusiasm reached an overwhelming pitch when the zone made a move by presenting a ₦100 million cheque to Governor Mbah, serving as a contribution towards his nomination form purchase for the 2027 gubernatorial race. This act, described by many as a voluntary investment in the future of the state and the zone, underscores the deep-rooted trust the people have in the governor’s vision for infrastructural development, security, and economic reform.




Enugu West ​Leaders at the event emphasized that the support for both President Tinubu and Governor Mbah is rooted in performance. From the ambitious "New Enugu City" project to critical road networks and educational interventions, the current administration has consistently turned promises into reality. For Ndi Enugu West, the message was clear: the developmental strides initiated in the last few years must be protected and expanded. By standing united at the Awgu Council field, the people of Enugu West echoed their readiness to safeguard their progress, consolidate on the existing gains, and ensure that the "Renewed Hope" agenda continues to thrive.





​The energy at the Awgu Secretariat field was overwhelming as the clarion call is for everyone to play their part in the future of the zone and the state. As we look towards 2027, the choice is clear: stability, growth, and dedicated leadership. The people of Enugu West have spoken. Everyone is enjoined to join the moving train in ensuring that the legacy of excellence continues.
