The atmosphere at Michael Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu, was charged with spiritual fervor and a shared vision for the future of Enugu State, as women across the 17 Local Government Areas in the state, gathered for the June Edition of the Enugu Women’s Monthly Prayer Network. Among the prominent voices at the gathering was Mrs Eneh, who joined thousands of faithful women to lift her voice in deep gratitude to God for a remarkably impactful, successful, and peaceful event. The June edition commenced with resounding songs of praise and thanksgiving, setting a profound tone of worship that smoothly transitioned into an intense intercession session led by the vision of Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, who was ably represented by Mrs. Chinyere Ugwu, wife of the Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly. Drawing inspiration from Amos 3:3, the congregation fervently prayed for unity, peace, and the grace to walk in agreement, while raising altars of prayer for His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, all those in positions of authority, our security personnel, and the collective welfare of families across the state.

The spiritual foundation of the gathering was further solidified by an inspiring, timely sermon delivered by Rev. Edwin Njoku, who passionately reminded the participants of the need to live lives worthy of God’s calling, embrace genuine personal transformation, and remain steadfast in faith with an eternal consciousness. This was immediately followed by a powerful, defining highlight of the gathering; the prophetic march across the square, during which the women offered intense prayers against insecurity, boldly declaring divine protection, safety, and preservation over the entire state and its people. The event also featured goodwill messages from notable female leaders across party and administrative lines, including Amb. Amaka Nweke (Member IV of the Enugu State Local Government Service Commission), Hon. Chichi Ogbu (President of the National Council for Women Societies), Hon. Esther Edeh (APC Enugu State Women Leader) and Mrs. Rita Edeh (ALGON Chairperson), alongside various local government chairpersons, all signalling an unprecedented, unified alignment of women in leadership.

Reflecting on the immense success of the spiritual gathering, Mrs Eneh expressed profound appreciation to God while issuing a strategic, powerful charge to the women of the Coal City State to look towards the future. Beyond the spiritual walls of the prayer network, Mrs. Eneh emphasized that the true manifestation of answered prayers lies in strategic, continuous grassroots mobilization and political alignment. She passionately called on all Enugu women to translate their spiritual unity into concrete civic action by joining hands in prayer support and relentless grassroots mobilization to secure a resounding victory for Gov. Peter Mbah in the 2027 elections. Urging the women to remain fervent, she declared that when women pray, things shift, but when they mobilize at the grassroots, destinations are permanently secured, challenging them to sustain this fire of prayer and channel it into solid block support for the continuous good governance of Gov. Mbah.
